All the islands are so different. Bartolome had
lush green mangrove forest and barren volcanic wastelands. It was like walking on the leftover coals of a fire. The ground crunched underfoot. We climbed the 350 or so steps to a lookout point that offered one of the most spectacular views of the archipelago. The distinctive
Pinnacle Rock on one side, the rustic remains of volcanic craters on the other.

It was windy at the top of the hill, hence the scarf tied round the hat fashion!
