It's the Final Countdown

One week to go!!! Alleluia. As we are finishing up work on a "school night", i.e. next Wednesday, we have decided to have our going away bash this coming Friday (18th) in Dicey Reillys on Harcourt Street. Believe it or not neither Claire nor I have ever been in the bar but apparently it has a cracking beer garden. Needless to say the decision was made during a bout of unseasonally good weather about a month ago. Now the clouds have rolled in...DOH!! Ach well.
Will probably still go out for a few beers next Wednesday night purely for psychological purposes. A man's gotta drink a beer on the day he walks out of work. Then another big boozing session in Germany (Brian's wedding) and then down to Cork (Claire goes to Glasgow) and the last big Irish session is planned for Saturday 9th June with the Cork crew. I think my liver will be in need of a well deserved break at that stage...actually if you listen carefully you actually hear it whimpering....can you hear it?
